DeForge Maritime is a family owned, solutions-based tug and barge company built on hard work and a dedication to our craft. Whether actively working a job, answering phone calls, or ensuring our crew’s safety through rigorous training and drills, we pride ourselves on fulfilling our promises and seeing every goal to its total completion. History
OUr Fleet
Capt Cae was one of DeForge Maritime’s first tugs. Built in 1945 by the US Navy, this WWII era tug spent her first life serving the Navy throughout the Pacific Ocean making the occasional trip through the Panama Canal. Our other founding tug, The Clayton Arthur was built in 1966 and spent the majority of her first life serving in the western Pacific; Hawaii, Guam, and the Marshall Islands.
Gateway to Alaska
DeForge Maritime Towing is strategically located in the Puget Sound servicing the greater Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Every commercial vessel carrying supplies to remote areas of Alaska must pass through the Seattle area. DeForge Maritime has a comprehensive understanding of the waterways throughout the Pacific and the Atlantic.
