Master of Towing Inland, Near Coastal/ Oceans
Responsibilities and Requirements for all Captains:
Valid MMC with Master of Towing Endorsment
Valid Twic
STCW preferred but not required
Valid drivers license and passport
Ability to pass a drug test per coast guard regulations
Train and develop the crew on all DMT procedures and guidelines.
Demanding and executing that safety for the crew and vessel always comes first.
Provide a safe and equal opportunity working environment for all crew members
Plan and execute voyage planning, focusing on safety and efficiency.
Foster a team environment which on a vessel is the key to a safe and successful voyage.
As Master of the vessel, you are responsible everything that happens on the vessel.
Minimum Physical Aptitudes Required for all Captains:
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without restriction; positions involve lifting, pulling, and operating heavy equipment and objects.
Ability to bend, stoop, or squat frequently and climb high steps/ladders several times per day.
Physical dexterity and strength to operate deck machinery; work on equipment that is poorly accessible or in confined workspaces.
Must be able to keep balance/equilibrium while performing duties at various heights.
Ability to work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time.
Adequate hearing and vision ability per USCG standards.
Proper heat/cold tolerance, working in all weather conditions.

Advanced Ocean Towing
Single and Tandem Towing (double drum and under riders)
Bar Crossing.
Push Towing
Hip Towing
Anchor Handling
Construction support
Vessel Compliance
Proficient in the operation of PC’s
100% understanding of the operation of vessel management system.
